I shared a link recently on Facebook about 10 ways to feel good.
I don't think feeling good is the whole purpose of life, but knowing what makes us feel good provides clues about what we have to offer the world, and how to recharge ourselves when our batteries are flat.
Here is MY list of 10 ways to feel good:
Be NURTURED by NATURE ... hammock in the sun, campfire, walk on the beach, rock-hop on a river | CREATE ... write, sketch, paint, sew, bake, play music, sculpture, graphic design, amateur architecture |
DO something to cause SOMEONE to SMILE ... call, text, notice, offer help, write a postcard, play, invite, encourage, include, thank, cook | SIMPLIFY ... minimise wardrobe, declutter a shelf or drawer, tidy a room, create a restful space |
EXERCISE my MIND ... do a word or number puzzle, play UpWords or Rummikub, plot & plan a story, listen to a TED talk, read quiet articles, look at art, write in my journal, have a heart to heart conversation CARE for my BODY ... have a nap, eat an orange, walk or ride, have a bath with candles, drink herbal tea, moisturise, do exercises | SOW to the SPIRIT ... pray, read Bible, sing, read testimonies, copy verses, update thankfulness journal, listen to a talk, study a topic, get together for fellowship CHANGE the SCENERY ... go for a bushwalk, drive a different way, holiday on an island, look at the ocean, watch the clouds or stars |
GO somewhere TOGETHER ... fellowship, visit friends or family, bookshop, library, art gallery, museum, botanic gardens | Enjoy SOLITUDE ... read in bed, paint, journal, daydream, write |
I'd love to read your list ... share a link in the comments or on Facebook. :)
