I love the garden at the start of Spring ... everything is bursting into life.
It's time to pull out weeds, select and plant seeds, feed, water and protect from pests and predators ... and best of all, lay back in the hammock and watch the beauty unfold.

"This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it."

Inside me, there's work to do, too. Cultivating a healthy heart, mind and soul is a lot like gardening. My process looks something like this:
Let Go ...
of negative self-talk, self doubt, feelings of unworthiness
of past hurts and sorrows
of worry about the future
of blame
of perfectionism
of past hurts and sorrows
of worry about the future
of blame
of perfectionism
Grow ...
in faith in love in confidence in courage in understanding in maturity in skill in action |
Glow ...
for God
for those who need light & hope
for my loved ones
for my dreams
for myself
for those who need light & hope
for my loved ones
for my dreams
for myself
I have hopes and wishes for the future, but I am here, NOW.
I'll do what I can and worry less about what I can't.
I'll notice what's beautiful and give thanks.
I am loved, and I appreciate the precious people I'm sharing this life with.

What are you working on at the moment, either in your garden or in your beautiful self?
